What better way to sport your green then to show it off at a St. Paddy’s Day 5K, supporting MAC incorporated.
Cindy Robinson, development director for MAC Inc. came to the studio with Mark Welsh, the 5K committee chairman to educate us on the upcoming events in support of MAC.
The MAC program is a resource for the community that helps promote health, dignity, and independence to the aging community. MAC stands for Maintaining Active Citizens. It reaches out to the growing population of 65 and older citizens in the community, and supporting their well-being.
Programs at the senior center through MAC provide social, recreational, and educational activities as well as a nutritious meal.
The 18th annual St. Paddy’s Day 5K is taking place on Saturday March 18, check-in starting at 2 p.m., and proceeds go to the MAC program. The start and end of the race is at the Salisbury Elks Lodge, where there is also an after party. There will be food, silent auctions, and entertainment at the party while waiting for the race results.
