Adkins Arboretum, located in Ridgely, Maryland is hosting the event on Arbor Day to raise proceeds for its goat herd, which is used for targeted grazing of invasive plant species. The arboretum’s goals are to promote appreciation and conservation of native plants to all of their visitors.
Eco-Goats, a sponsor for the event, is a company that provides goats for vegetation control like at the arboretum. They also provide consultations to assess properties to determine if goats are a good choice for areas.
