Author Bonnie Mae Evans stops by the DelmarvaLife set to discuss her new book, “The Trees Will Clap.”
The fictional book is based on a moment in Bonnie’s childhood on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Bonnie emphasizes the value of family in whatever form that takes, and the journey a family takes over a lifetime.
Her book is told from a child’s perspective, and is intertwined with nostalgic adult recollections of her early years growing up on the rural Delmarva Peninsula in the 1960’s. The story explores unlikely friendships, tragedy, healing and God.
