Day 3 started with an early workout.
I faded hard the night before and had no desire to go all Julia Child. I left it for the morning. I made an arrangement with the Jack La Lane juicer. I will create smaller pieces to feed it and it will juice them quickly without my intervention. I wanted to make something red and with limited time, I decided nothing with leaves in the juicer. I made the following:
Juice:
– One beet root
– One whole lime
– One cucumber
– Five carrots
– One cup red rasberries (didn’t produce much)
– One tbsp. Vega protieen powder
This was juiced, and produced the deep red I was going for. I thought since I was only using ingredients I hate, this would be a real test of my dedication. I was “manning up.” Surprise. It was the best one yet. But my expectations are not too high at this point.
Smoothie:
– Three pineapple rings
– One green kale leaf
– Spinach
– One bannana
– Coconut milk
This blended, produced the light green concoction pictured. It wasn’t bad. Not as good as the juice. Throughout the day, I felt about the same as the previous day… without the night time fade. Surprisingly, my body has adjusted well. There’s no mischief going on in there.
