‘Brooke’s Toy Closet’ Toy Drive

Four years ago, this month, DelmarvaLife was honored to have Brooke Mulford visit the studio and discuss her battle with Neuroblastoma, as well as how she is raising awareness for those also struggling with cancer.

Her positive spirit immediately warmed it’s way into the hearts of all on Delmarva. Sadly, Brooke’s battle with cancer ended the morning of Monday, June 12, however Brooke’s impact has not wavered as she continues to inspire many across the peninsula including Kristal Elzey.

Kristal stopped by the set to discuss how Brooke, and her mother, inspired Kristal to open ‘Brooke’s Toy Closet’, as well as host a toy drive in Brooke’s name. They are collecting toys, books and games for children also battling debilitating diseases, in hopes of bring a little enjoyment into their lives.
