Delmarva Treasure: B&O Ridgely Division

Dale Ridgeway of Bishopville, Maryland has always loved trains. Both his father and grandfather worked for the railroad, so he knew that he wanted a career near the tracks as well.  Although he would end up working for a railroad yard early on, his career ended up going into a different direction.

Fast forward to 1994, it was Ridgeway’s wife who would ignite his love for model trains with the gift of a train set.

Today, Ridgeway has taken love to a whole new level.  His basement is home to a layout that take visitors a step back in time.
