Female Drag Racers on Delmarva – Tuesday, May 12, 2015

Drag Racing has become a big deal here on Delmarva over the years. In fact, it is how some families spend their entire weekends. This sport brings in all different kinds of people enjoying one thing – drag racing. Muscle cars, dragsters, loud engines, and high speeds sounds like something only a man would be interested in, but for some ladies here on Delmarva, it is part of their lives. The ladies enjoy racing just as much, if not more, than the average man.

US 13 Dragway has 7 different classes that any women can enter and race in. Two of which are made up of  racers from ages 7 to 18, which also include young female drivers. Every weekend, you can find a handful of females behind the wheel racing for the win.
