Crossing paths with ordinary people can change your life.
Local letter carriers David Phillips and Chrison White were doing a routine delivery on the mail route when they came across an unresponsive woman locked in her car. After realizing that this situation was not ordeal, Phillips called 911, found a way into the vehicle and assisted the woman until first responders arrived.
The two were honored by the postmaster general for there reliability, and drive to take action. The woman who was in medical crisis is now recovering, and sent a thank you card to the two who saved her life.
For Chrison, it was a very interesting day, because it was her first day training for the job!
“I did not expect it, but we saved a woman’s life so it was okay,” said White.
The people of Delmarva thank Chrison and David for their commitment to the community.
