Charlotte King is the founder of the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice. The organization holds various town halls with police, political leaders, and community leaders to forge relationships with the African American community in Delaware. The group also works to help inmates receive education and assistance, and help newly-freed men and women from prison acclimate back into the community. It’s King’s tireless community work that makes her a Jefferson Award winner.
