Closing the Pool – Dover Pools – Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015

Summer has officially ended and fall is here. If you’re a pool owner, it’s time to close your pool. Jim Napolitano, with Dover Pools, gives us steps to close up the pool.

• Bring in a water sample to get tested so you can have the water stabilized for the winter
• Winterize the filter
• Above ground pool – ice equalizing pillow
• Secure cover
• Have a pump to get water off of the cover – pushes water out of the pool and could collapse the pool walls

Jim says that by taking these steps to prepare your pool for the winter, will make your life easier when you open your pool in the spring. Jim tells about the benefits of a spa and says it’s the nicest time of the year for a spa.
