Jeri Miller, with Warrior Yoga, didn’t have to look far to find the members of this class. Chris Eccleston is a member and owns Delmarva Veteran Builders, says some of his employees suffer from post traumatic stress disorder, so it wasn’t hard for Jeri to sell him on Warrior Yoga.
Trey Vinyard, an army veteran that served two tours in Afghanistan, has never had the chance to get into yoga, but also never had the opportunity before. Now, it was an opportunity that he could get the mind, body, and spirit all in one with Warrior Yoga. Researchers with the Department of Veteran Affairs and the Pentagon have found that yoga stretching, breathing techniques, and meditation can help calm the part of the brain that the stresses of war kicks into a state of frazzle.
