WBOC’s Shannel Douglas says colleges are looking at social media to get a better feel for the students. Shannel says it does not look good if you have inappropriate pictures, or posts, and some colleges are not liking that. Some high schools on Delmarva are telling students how their posts on social media can affect their college applications.
Shannel says that social media is looked at as an online resume. Coaches are also looking at social media to see if the student is a good fit for their athletic program.
