Today on DelmarvaLife:
Today we are making a classic and very easy summer dish- bruschetta! Martin Hutchison and Suzi Peterson join Jimmy and Lisa to explain how using natural and fresh vegetables can transform a dish. Martin, who runs the Camden Community Garden, and Suzi, who heads up the “Summer Lunch at the garden” help bring this classic summer recipe to life today at five.
For anyone who is interested in making the bruschetta the ingredients and recipe are as follows:
Fresh from the garden tomatoes, diced
Basil, cut in strips
Olive oil
Balsamic vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
Baguette, sliced and broiled with olive oil
Dice tomatoes and add basil. Add olive oil and balsamic, salt and pepper. Serve with toasted baguette slices.
It’s Monday and that means it’s time to take a look at who’s wanted across the Peninsula. We welcome Lieutenant Tim Robinson with the Wicomico County Sherrif’s Office to the DelmarvaLife studio to tell us who we should keep an eye out for in another addition of “Most Wanted Monday”.
And why not start our week off with some great music? “Bad Avenue” takes over the Mid-South Audio Stage to rock us into our week. The classic rock and blues band is quickly becoming one of the most in demand bands on Delmarva, and we are excited to have them join us today at five!
Plus we have something that will not let this be just another manic Monday- our 2017 DelmarvaLife Summer Guide! We have two prizes to give away as part of our Summer Guide Giveaway. Enter to win and get some terrific savings here. Are you feeling lucky today? We’ll announce if you’re right today at five.
