Today on DelmarvaLife:
A slot has opened in this years lineup at Firefly Music Festival and festival organizers are looking to fill it with regional talent. There is a contest coming up to fill that spot. Musicians will go through three rounds in order to win. Round one will help discover the top 25 acts, round two the fans will vote online to narrow it down to the final five acts, and in round three the final five will compete in a live showcase in Philadelphia, Pa. One lucky winner will join the other 135+ artists at the Woodlands in June to play on one of Firefly’s seven stages. Applications will be accepted from artists of all genres that live in states within a 150 mile radius of The Woodlands. That includes, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, New York, Connecticut, and Washington D.C. Applications are accepted from March 31-April 8 and the online voting begins April 9. Once the final five are determined, those artists will plat in front of a panel of judges on June 2. After calculating online fan votes, live fan votes, and judges votes, the winner will be announced. Contact REC Philly for more information and to apply by emailing them at support@recphilly.com.
