If you were ever in an emergency, you already know to call 911, but most emergency situations can induce panic and fear. That’s where something called “Smart 911” comes into play. Sussex County Emergency Operations implemented the system, which can help dispatchers get the information they need to quickly respond. The system provides 911 dispatchers with vital information they need, if you should ever be in an emergency. It only takes a few minutes to sign up, but those few minutes could save your life.
Lieutenant Tim Robinson, with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, has another list of “Most Wanted Monday.” Lt. Robinson also discusses what it was like to provide security at the 2017 Presidential Inauguration.

The Lewes Historical Society visits Historic Studio D to give us an historic chocolate demonstration. It’s part of the Society’s Valentine Antiques and Collectibles Sale. Participants can attend the free event on February 11, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Lewes Historical Society. There will be information on Lewes’ connection to Colonial Era Chocolate. Participants can also watch the chocolate-making demonstration, and taste it, too!
