Today on DelmarvaLife:
We’re helping you “get your green on” ahead of St. Patrick’s Day. We get a preview of the Delmarva Irish-American Club‘s Ocean City St. Patrick’s Day Parade. If you are unable to make it to Ocean City for the festivities, you can watch the parade on WBOC’s sister station, WRDE. Coverage begins at 11:30 a.m., and it includes footage from the “Irish Eye in the Sky.” You’ll be able to watch a re-broadcast of the parade on Sunday, March 17th, on My Cozi TV. WRDE is Delmarva’s NBC station on Comcast and Mediacom 9/809, Dish Network and Direct TV 31 and over the air on 31.1. Find My Cozi TV on Comcast 204, Mediacom 99 and over the air at 31.2.
If you’ve ever strolled through The Centre at Salisbury this time of year, then you’re probably very familiar with the elaborately-decorated bras outside of the stores. Many of the bras are real works of art. It’s all part of Women Supporting Women‘s Bras for a Cause. We’ll hear how people on Delmarva can be a part of the fun, in an effort to support those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Women Supporting Women also has a new event, called Bourbon, Bowties, & Blackjack at Ocean Downs. They are partnering with Ocean Downs for a new, upscale event where you can expect to have a three-course bourbon infused meal with bourbon pairings. AmFund will be auctioning off 9 incredible trips to Argentina, Ireland, San Francisco, France & more! There will also be a small silent auction. The total is $100 per person and that includes $20 complimentary slot dollars from Ocean Downs. There will be discounted hotel accommodations available for the event, via Comfort Inn & Suites West
OC.
Join the Salisbury Sunrise Rotary Club for their family-friendly event, the “Bubble Ball Tournament & Family Fun Day.” 102.5 WBOC’s Corey Pheobus and DelmarvaLife’s Sydney Whitfield play a round of bubble soccer to get a preview of the event. It’s an opportunity for you to watch teams go head to head and it all goes down on Saturday, March 30 at 11 AM – 8 PM. There will also be games for children, bounce houses, face painting and more! Food, drink and craft beers will be available for purchase. All proceeds support community projects. Tickets: $2 each or $5 for a family of 4. All the fun begins at 11 am at Winter Place Park.
