Honoring those who gave their all fighting for our freedom shouldn’t be limited to one day. The Heritage Shores Military Club makes that their mission all year long. The President of the Heritage Shores Military Club, Phil Clark; and Concert Coordinator, Tommy Myslow join us to talk about their organization. Their next Military concert will be the USCG Concert Band. The show is at 7 p.m. June 7th at Woodbridge High School.
We’re also talking about youth football today. Many kids want to play, but certain requirements such as weight, often get in the way. The Seaford Elite Travel Football Club is a relatively new program where all are welcome.
The President of the Women’s Council Of Realtors, Marjorie Eckerd; and past President and Founding Member of the Council, Joanie Hannigan are here to tell us about Mardi Bras 2018, which supports the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. The event is on Wednesday, June 6 from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. It’s at Ivy, Dewey Beach and it supports the fight against breast cancer.
In honor of National BBQ Month, Kirby & Holloway is bringing in a grill and showing some grilling techniques for their famous Chesapeake Bay Brats, as well as sweet and Italian sausage.
We’re also learning about The Eastern Shore Corvette Club. It’s so much more than getting together and having a good time. We’ll hear how the club strives to give back. The Eastern Shore Corvette Club’s 21st Annual Car Show takes place this weekend. It’s on Saturday, June 2 from 9 a.m. to Noon at the Redmen Lodge #149.
