Today on DelmarvaLife:
We’ve turned the Mid South Audio Stage into a mini art studio today. Artists Joe Fletcher and Samantha Roach join us, along with Director of the Salvation Army Creative Hearts Program, Christy Cugno to tell us about the upcoming open house where people can purchase paintings. The Fourth Annual Art Open House at Pat’s Pizza in Lewes is on Nov. 15 from 4 pm-8 pm.
The Waterfowl Festival that celebrates the animal, art and activities that make Delmarva so special is taking place next weekend. Executive Director of the Waterfowl Chesapeake, Margaret Enloe, tells us about this year’s featured artist, Julia Rogers, the famous Dock Dogs, goose and duck calling contests and great food and shopping vendors. Premiere night is Thursday, Nov. 9 and then the festival truly kicks off Nov. 10-12 in Downtown Easton.
Many of us have experienced a hospital stay or perhaps a loved one has been admitted. The hospital takes great care of you during your stay, but what happens when you’re discharged? Who will pick up where the nurses, clinicians, and doctors left off? Healthcare providers want you to have a smooth transition from hospital to home so you can continue to recover and get back to your life. Area Director of Operations with Peninsula Home Care, Nancy Bagwell, Chief Operating and Nursing Officer with Nanticoke Health Services, Penny Short, and Executive Director of PRMC Population Health, Dr. Kathryn Fiddler, join us on the couches today to talk about a “preferred provider partnership.”
Only two and a half weeks to get your Thanksgiving menu ready! The owner of The Shrimp Boat, Joe White, joins us in the kitchen today and shares a recipe with us that puts a twist on traditional stuffing.
